OVER ONS

Who are we

Move2Skool is a small-scale organization that offers individual guidance, group guidance, outpatient guidance and school support to children from 4 to 12 years old. The bridging is intended for children who can no longer benefit from regular educational provision and are on a waiting list for another form of help. During the bridging, attention is paid to education, (together) play, rest and sports. In order to optimally shape a bridge, we work together with the network around the child from registration to completion.

Mission and vision

Providing a safe, structured transitional place to young children who cannot be helped within the regular provision. Move2Skool wants to offer every child the opportunity and opportunity to develop at his/her own pace in a small-scale setting. We pay attention to the individual development needs and living environment of the child. Every child is unique and is our focus. We work together with parents and applicants to achieve the greatest possible connection.

Around the child

Person-centered care

From registration to completion, we pay attention to customization and safety. Together with the legal representative and referrer, we map out the requests for help within different areas of life during the intake interview and we record important agreements regarding child care. What can/can't the child eat? What do we do when the child is angry and becomes physical? What helps to restart co-regulation in the specific child and how much time do we take for this? Matters related to the child's physical safety are also discussed during the intake. Finally, we also make agreements with the parents regarding drop-off and pick-up. This is not a standard appointment and can or cannot be offered on a tailor-made basis.

Bridging care

The registration process at Move2Skool includes a thorough screening in which the safety and capabilities of the child are assessed. We strive for a safe transition for children to (special) education by understanding their individual needs and meeting them as best as possible from the start. After the screening, we plan an intake interview to discuss expectations, goals and needs with parents and the applicant.

Trustworthy

The guidance is provided in a small-scale setting. We have SKJ registered employees who provide a basic environment in which children can develop at their own pace. The main goals of the guidance focus on offering a safe, structured place for children aged 4 to 12 who cannot be accommodated within the regular provision. The physical but also emotional safety of the child is central. We work with daily programs, pictograms, referrers, fixed routines and emotion plates. We strive for continuity by working with permanent supervisors. We carefully consider which children can be placed together so that daily schedules and attention to individual structures can be properly coordinated.
