Registration procedure

Admission and exclusion criteria

Specific admission criteria for Move2Skool:

• Children aged 4 to 12 years;

• Children with developmental delays and disorders;

• Children who (due to developmental delays and disorders) are no longer included in the regular (educational) offering;

• The child is on a waiting list for another form of education/KDC or treatment group;

• Children who do not yet have sufficient academic skills to benefit from regular forms of education;

• Children who still need a lot of one-on-one support, which means they cannot keep up sufficiently in a group.

Exclusion criteria:

Contraindications:

• Children with a serious physical abnormality or disorders that require specialist, intensive care;

• Children with epileptic seizures and specific care needs;

• Children with serious structural oppositional behavioral problems who are insufficiently able to regulate themselves with the support and help of a supervisor;

• Children who, with intensive support, are unable to follow a (structured) day program within a year;

• Children who, due to their own problems, can be too disruptive in the group atmosphere of Move2Skool (see note).

*Note: At Move2Skool we tailor-made to see whether we can meet the support needs of each child. We also check on a moment-by-moment basis whether the registered children can participate sufficiently in the current group composition without disrupting too much the peace and structure of other children in the group. Because this varies from time to time, we look at this carefully and may temporarily reject some registrations, recommend an outpatient program or place the child on a waiting list. We can also choose to let children participate on a trial basis and from there decide whether a child is suitable or not.
